RCA 2nd hackathon

On 9th October 2024, the second RCA Hackathon competition, part of the Rwanda Coding Academy Capacity Development Project (2021-2025, USD 8.09 million) funded by KOICA, was held at the Hotel Des Mille Collines in Kigali, Rwanda.

 A total of 15 teams of RCA students presented their student-led projects, which they had prepared over the past year. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including H.E. Jeong Woo Jin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Rwanda, and Joseph Nsengimana, Minister of Education of Rwanda, as well as ICT professionals from the public and private sectors of both Korea and Rwanda.

RCA students showcased innovative ideas applying cutting-edge ICT technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IoT, demonstrating the potential of Rwanda's ICT sector. Among the 15 participating teams, 'LabSync,' which proposed a virtual laboratory, 'AgriNexa,' which suggested an agricultural land management solution, and 'ETix,' which proposed a real-time traffic information management system, took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively.
