This Monday on the 12th October NYU abudhabi’s outreach officer as well as a former NYU Abudhabi student Meskerem zerdo paid a visit to Rwanda Coding Academy as part of their undergraduate admissions process where they visited several other schools In Rwanda granting our seniors the opportunity to learn more about the application process, and what NYU is looking for .
The guest arrived at around 10:00 AM as scheduled and she was given a brief presentation about the school and different extra-curricular activities that place in the school through video documentation and presentation by our instructors. Next up she got to talk with students from Y3B and Y3C as part of the morning session and later on with other students from Y3A as part of the afternoon session
In both sessions the students got hands-on information of how the admissions committe reviews the essay and what they are looking for in a student they want to admit additiianlly they were introudced to some sections of the campus life and how life at NYu is academically and socially The outreach officer also explained how applying to NYU in the ED pool raises your chances of getting admitted and therefore advised them to take that route she also explained how you can change branches between semesters in their main college branches that is shangai, abudhabi as well as New york
Later on students who had questions regarding whether it was possible to work as wel as study at the same time and why the essays had a small world limit presented their questions and satisfactory answers were given out.
We wish our seniors good Luck and we wish to see them at NYU abudhabi next year as they continue to raise the flag of Rwanda coding academy and Rwanda in general.
